Website cost in Spain: what is included and what is extra

How much does a business website cost in Spain? It depends on the type of site, the number of sections, the features and who prepares the content. To save you guessing, here is our price: a corporate website costs €500 + VAT (€605 including 21% Spanish VAT), one-off. Below we explain what that includes, what is quoted separately and what running costs to expect once the site is live.

Corporate website: €500 + VAT (€605 incl. VAT)

This is what most small businesses and freelancers need to present their business and receive enquiries. It includes:

  • Responsive design for mobile, tablet and desktop.
  • Basic SEO: structure, titles and descriptions, speed and indexable content.
  • A working contact form.
  • Hosting for the first year.
  • One basic professional email account.
  • Up to 5 content sections (sections within the site, not 5 separate pages).
  • Legal notice, privacy and cookie pages set up with your details.

One-off payment. The website, access and content are yours.

What costs extra

These items are quoted before we start and only done with your approval:

  • Extra pages or sections.
  • Copywriting and image selection or editing.
  • Additional languages (for example, English and Spanish).
  • An online shop with cart and payments.
  • Advanced booking systems or client areas.
  • Integrations with CRMs, property software, WhatsApp Business or other tools.

Out-of-scope work is charged at €45 + VAT per hour (minimum 1 hour, in 30-minute blocks), always approved by you first.

Bilingual websites

Many businesses run by expats in Spain need both English and Spanish. Each extra language is, in practice, another version of the site that needs to be written well and maintained — which is why it is quoted separately. We write each language for its reader rather than machine-translating, so both versions build trust and rank properly.

Running costs after launch

Every website has some ongoing costs. Know them from day one:

  • Domain: your web address (.es or .com), renewed every year.
  • Hosting: included for the first year, then renewed with the provider.
  • Maintenance (optional): updates, backups and small changes, from €40 + VAT a month.
  • Third-party tools you choose to use: booking software, premium plugins, email marketing.

Website + maintenance packages

If you want your website and its upkeep sorted from the start:

  • Website + Standard plan (first year): €800 + VAT (€968 incl. VAT).
  • Website + Premium plan (first year): €2,000 + VAT (€2,420 incl. VAT).

Invoices, VAT and paying from abroad

You receive a proper Spanish invoice (factura) with VAT, which your gestor or accountant will need. Businesses in the Canary Islands have different tax rules (IGIC instead of VAT), which we clarify in the quote.
